Exhibition: MYANMAR WATER 2013 Expo: Myanmar's International Water and Wastewater Industry Show

YANGON, Myanmar, Oct. 30, 2013 — /PRNewswire/ -- Widely renowned as the country's 1st ever international water, wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment and purification show, MYANMAR WATER 2013 Expo (www.myanwater.com) has opened its door from 24 to 26 October at the Tatmadaw Exhibition Hall to welcome all exhibitors, industrialists, trade visitors and government officers within the water industry. The event is organized by UBM Asia, a global company and organiser of 400 events in 30 countries annually in over 25 market sectors such as fashion, pharmaceuticals, security, energy, water, livestock and many more.

The 2013 event was supported by the Myanmar Industries Association (MIA), Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (UMFCCI) and the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC). The opening ceremony was presided over by the Guest of Honour, His Excellency, Mr. U Nyan Tun Oo, Minister of Industry and Electricity of Yangon Region and witnessed by key global industrialists, relevant ministry representatives, exhibitors, trade bodies, visitors and media.

Some special highlights were lined up during the event. On the first show day, there was the Business Matchmaking session that connected trade buyers with key decision-makers within the industry. This was followed by a Networking Reception, whereby more than 200 industry professionals comprising of exhibitors and invited guests had the opportunity to establish new business partnerships.

The show day two, 25th October presented an overview on how best to invest and do business in Myanmar through a Business Seminar themed "Business Opportunities in Myanmar." Also happened was the Myanmar Water 2013 Technology Symposium, which is a special presentation of high quality conference sessions by an international array of panel speakers, with the aim of helping participants find appropriate solutions to business challenges. The conference featured a variety of topics on the theme "New Innovations Industrial Wastewater Treatment and Purification Technology."

Another highlight for MYANMAR WATER 2013 Expo this year is that the event was co-located with the INTERMACH MYANMAR, the country's first and largest International Industrial Machinery, Subcontracting & Waste Water Equipment Exhibition.
