MPT to sell over 100,000 GSM and CDMA 800 MHz SIM cards in Yangon

Myanmar Post and Telecommunications (MPT) is planning to sell K 1,500 GSM and CDMA 800 MHz mobile phone SIM cards on July 25.

MPT will sell 200,000 GSM SIM cards and 150,000 CDMA 800 MHz SIM cards all over the country with the arrangement of the governments of the regions and states on July 25. The K 1,500 SIM cards will be sold with lucky draw and now the townships administration offices are accepting the applications.

The K 1,500 SIM cards have restrictions and the card holders need to use at least 2,500 kyats per month. If they don’t spend all 5,000 kyats within two months, MPT will deduct 5,000 kyats automatically. If they don’t top up the cards within 15 days of expire date, the use of SIM cards will be automatically disabled by MPT.
