Tata Motors to open showrooms and service centers in Myanmar

India’s Tata Motors will officially open car showroom and three service centers in Yangon in the near future, an official of Apex Greatest Industrial Co., Ltd said.

The Apex Greatest Industrial Co., Ltd has got permission as a sale representative of Tata Motors since May last year and the company officially launched its car showrooms and service centers this year.


“Our company will sell commercial vehicles and passenger cars. Now, we have already started import of passenger cars. We will sell the vehicles at the end of April and import and sell one-ton trucks for the commercial vehicles,” the official said.

Tata Motor Company opened its car showroom and service center at Pale Garden Housing project located on No.3 High Way, on April 7 and the company will soon launch next show-room and service center near Zoological Garden in Mayangon Township, Yangon.

Tata Motors is India’s largest and the World’s eighteenth-largest automobile company. It earned US$ 32.67 billion in 2012.

According to the Fortune Magazine, the company won 314 World’s position in 2012.

Tata Motors has established truck assembly plant in Magway Region of central Myanmar and the AGI Company will distribute and sell the trucks produced from the assembly plant.

The company invested US$ 20 million for the assembly plant with the assistance of Indian government’s loan. It could manufacture 1,000 vehicles per year and will extend to produce 5,000 vehicles in the near future.
